In the Pine Ridge reservation lives the old Pete Chasing Horse, known as a storyteller, who preserves Native American traditions. His seventeen-year-old grandson Shane, involved with a street gang and in debt, is tasked with taking his grandfather to New Mexico. Shane agrees, wanting to settle his debts with the gang, and this journey becomes the beginning of their shared experience and a test. During the trip, Shane and Pete embark on a long journey where the grandfather shares many mysterious Native American tales about love, friendship, and magic. Shane must remember these stories so that they are not forgotten after his grandfather's death. This task becomes important not only for their journey but also for Shane's future, as he takes on the responsibility of preserving his ancestors' legacy. In this work, directed by Steve Barron, elements of fantasy and drama intertwine, revealing the significance of Native American stories in the modern world. August Schellenberg plays the grandfather, while Eddie Spears plays Shane. The film takes place in the South Dakota reservation and New Mexico, where traditions and stories become the foundation of their journey and the connection between generations.
