The Incredible Hulk (1977) – scientist's mutation after gamma radiation exposure and journalist's suspicions

Description

After the death of his wife in a car accident, scientist Dr. David Banner, along with his assistant Dr. Elaina Marks, investigates the enhancement of human physical potential. They discover that gamma rays significantly increase muscle strength. David exposes himself to gamma rays, hoping to improve his body's capabilities, but the experiment causes an unexpected mutation that alters his body. Due to an overdose of gamma rays, David mutates: when he gets angry or frightened, he transforms into a seven-foot tall, muscular green creature. Together with Elaina, he tries to find a cure. Meanwhile, journalist Jack McGee, following Banner's experiments, accidentally causes the laboratory to explode, witnessing the Hulk holding Elaina, who later dies from her injuries. In this 1977 television action, adventure, science fiction, and drama film, director Kenneth Johnson tells the story of scientist David Banner's transformation into the Hulk. Bill Bixby plays Banner, while Lou Ferrigno portrays the uncontrollable green giant. The journalist's suspicions regarding the explosion create an additional conflict that heightens the tension of the plot and highlights the dangers of scientific experiments.
