A Story of Derry (2026) – The Secret of the Ancient Creature Ta Gallu and the Young People's Fight for Their Tribe

Description

Centuries ago, long before the city of Derry came into existence, the daughter of an Indian tribe, Neekani, and her friends face mysterious disappearances and attacks in the Western Forest. They decide to explore a forbidden territory where, according to legends, an ancient creature known as Ta Gallu resides. The young people seek to understand what threatens their community. While exploring the forest, Neekani and her friends encounter a terrifying creature capable of embodying the forms of the dead and instilling fear in the living. They are saved when a local resident intervenes, revealing an ancient story about the origin of this evil, its connection to the cosmic turtle Maturin, and a star's fall that unleashed the monster on Earth. This revelation brings new challenges to their goal of protecting their tribe. To safeguard their people and future generations, Neekani and her friends must uncover the secret of Ta Gallu and create a barrier that will keep the ancient evil at bay for a long time beyond the cursed lands. This dramatic work of horror and mysticism is directed by Tazbah Chavez, featuring lead roles by Kiawentiio, Isabel DeRoy-Olson, and Michael Podemski.
