In a large mixed-heritage family, daily life turns into a constant struggle between strict traditions and the children's desire to live by their own choices. The father wants his sons to respect his customs, religion, and a pre-planned future, but the young men feel they belong to a completely different world. They secretly enjoy themselves, fall in love, hide their decisions, and try to avoid the marriages their father intends to arrange without their consent. The mother strives to maintain peace at home, but it becomes increasingly difficult for her to cope with her husband's stubbornness, anger, and unwillingness to listen to the children.
