Ferdinand (2017) – the journey of a giant bull who doesn't like to fight

Description

Ferdinand is a giant bull who has lived a peaceful life on a farm since he was a calf, loved by a girl named Nina. Unlike other bulls, Ferdinand does not like to fight and prefers to spend his time dreaming and enjoying nature. His goal is to maintain peace and return to a normal life without violence or battles, where there is tranquility and friendship. One day, Ferdinand's life changes when he is unexpectedly captured by people and handed over to the organizers of Spanish bullfights. Although he is huge and strong, his nature is completely opposite to that of a fighter. Ferdinand must prove that he is not meant for fighting and find a way to return to Nina, despite the expectations and pressures from those around him. This animated family adventure comedy, directed by Carlos Saldanha, tells the story of an unusual bull whose heart is much bigger than his body. With the voice of John Cena, Ferdinand befriends various characters who help him overcome challenges. The film highlights themes of self-acceptance, blending humor with adventure elements and family warmth.
