The Rage: Carrie 2 (1999) – Telekinetic Rachel Lang Faces Danger at School Dances

Description

Twenty-three years after the tragic events at the school dance, Rachel Lang, a telekinetic and half-sister of Carrie White, is preparing to attend the school celebration. She tries to remain unnoticed, as her peers underestimate her and are unaware of her abilities. Rachel aims to avoid a repeating tragedy like the one Carrie experienced, but her goal faces the surrounding attitudes and ignorance. School counselor Sue Snell, who survived the aftermath of the previous tragedy, suspects that Rachel may have the same telekinetic powers as Carrie. She tries to warn Rachel about the potential danger, but her warnings go largely unheeded. Meanwhile, the situation at the school dance escalates into a threat that Rachel does not perceive, while those around her fail to recognize her powers. This horror, thriller, and science fiction genre film, directed by Katt Shea, explores the impact of telekinetic powers and social intrigues in schools. Emily Bergl stars as Rachel Lang, while Amy Irving returns as Sue Snell. The work illustrates how past events can repeat themselves and what the consequences may be when faced with unusual powers.
