Description
Bilitis is a young girl in love with photographer Luka, but her desire is not for physical closeness, rather for gentle and noble feelings. She experiences a world of emotions that differs from typical romantic relationships, seeking a deeper emotional connection. Her friend Melisa, who invited Bilitis to spend the summer vacation, also suffers from her husband's roughness and indifference. During the summer, a brief love affair develops between Bilitis and Melisa, testifying to their soul connection. However, Melisa, being more experienced in life, decides not to continue this romance. This prompts Bilitis to find Melisa a sensitive and pleasant lover, but this search reveals the first drama of her life, which, although naive in childhood, is painful and significant. This dramatic romantic tale is directed by David Hamilton, with Patti D'Arbanville as Bilitis, Mona Kristensen as Melisa, and Bernard Giraudeau as Luka. The film "Bilitis" explores the challenges of a young girl's maturation and love, presenting a subtle drama intertwined with emotions and the complexities of relationships in the context of summer vacation.
